Monument in front of the Museum

The museum houses 45,000 artifacts, displaying just 1,300 through 10 regular exhibition rooms. The maine exhibition rooms are located at second floor of the museum, and the one that catched my attention was the Modern History exhibtion room, where you can travel in time to see the events during the Japanese colonization and independence movements during that period.

Through this exhibition hall, the visitors can see the process of changes Busan city went through during the Japanese rulement.

As well as history about the Korena flag, National heritages and also there is a special room dedicated to the Busan Independence activists.

These 5 independence activists fought for independence in Busan. Han Hyeongseok, An Huije, Park Chajeong, Parl Jaehyeok, Kim Yaksu are the names of the important figures of Busan Independence movement.

The Busan Independence Movement important events chronological starts with March 11 1919 Independence movement at Ilshin Girls' School. Another important event took place back in 1940 November 23. The movement is called "Nodai Incident" lead by Anti-Japanese Students' Movement and it developed into the largest students' movement in Korea.

Also at Busan museum, visitors can see couple of newspaper announcement about the Korea Proclamation of Independence.

For those who visit Busan, I recommend to visit this museum if you want to know more about important events in Korean history see through the Busan city's filter.
